In this line on 22.01.2015 the GOI (Government of India) has launched the prestigious national programme of “Beti Bachao-Beti Padhao” (Save girl child-Educate girl child) campaign in Panipat, Haryana.
Now after a decade as part of women economic empowerment the GOI has introduced a new scheme through LIC of India from the same place, where the seeds of women empowerment were sown, in the name of BIMA SAKHI-MAHILA CAREER AGENT on 09.12.2024.
The ‘Bima Sakhi Yojana’ initiative of GOI through Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is designed to empower women aged 18-70 years, who are Class X Pass.
To achieve the resolution of a developed India by 2047, India needs many new sources of energy. Nari Shakti of India was another important source of energy in the form of women self-help groups, insurance Sakhi, bank Sakhi, agriculture Sakhi which would bolster the resolution of developed India.
Point to Remember:
- The scheme will be available throughout the year.
- The applicant must pass the Agent pre recruitment test of IRDAI.
- After the Agent code allotment, she must full fill the year stipendiary norm of 24 number of lives and Rs 48,000/- First year commission (excluding bonus commission), in a year, besides being active at least with one policy every month throughout the stipendiary year.
- As per existing rule Graduate Bima Sakhis, to become eligible for ADO Recruitment under Agency category must full fill the norm – a Net First Year Premium Income of not less than ₹ 1,00,000/- on 50 lives per year in any 3 of the immediately preceding 4 financial years, with 5 years (Urban) or 4 years (Rural) of service as agent.
- All the recruiters must make a thumb rule of getting every week a policy from each MCA, so that they become either Club Members or can be eligible for ADO recruitment under Agency category.
